Four Pilsner one Urpín or a Cycling route to the five beers

For many cyclists, draught beer is one of the good reasons to get on a bike even in the summer heat. For fit and skilled bikers, we have prepared this challenging cycle route, which includes five mountain rewards :-). From Tri Vody you will take the route via the cycle path, Trstené and Bobrovec to the mountain hotel Mních, where you will rest at the first Pilsen. From there, you continue along the cycle highway to the mouth of the Žiarska dolina, where you will take a second break at Salaš Žiar. Don’t miss this place, because you will need both fluids and energy for the challenging 5km climb to Žiarska chata, which is the third break of the cycle route and also the highest point of our route. Enjoy the views of the Western Tatras, but also the fact that from here on you’ll be going mostly downhill 🙂 The fourth stop is planned at the Akademik mountain hotel at the beginning of the Račkova dolina. Here you will have an excellent draught Urpiner – partly so that you don’t have too many Pilsners, but also so that you can taste at least one Slovak beer that is worth it. After a break, enjoy the beautiful drive down to Jamník and Podtureň, from where you will get back to Tri Vody via Liptovský Ján and Iľanovo (they also have Pilsner on tap here, if you can’t make it without), where you will celebrate the successful completion of the 70 km route with 1,400 m of climbing with the fifth draught. If the kilometres are too much for you, take one or more of the route points off (Mních, Žiarska chata or Akademik) – believe me, it will still be an experience your group will remember for a long time.
