Walk to the Guardian of the Forest

For guests with smaller children or strollers, we recommend a short walk to the Guardian of the Forest. The wooden statue is located above the village of Dúbrava. Park at the Mining Museum in the area of the former Dúbrava Ore Mines, from where you will continue 1.5 km on foot to the large stone wall. The picture of the big tree on the wall is where you turn left and in a moment you will come to the Guardian of the Forest. If you like the walk, you can continue through the valley further along the forest path, or you can start the walk at the beginning of the Dúbravská valley at the spring Košariská, from where it is about 5 km to the Forest Internship. Cyclists can also get to the Guardian of the Forest by bike – directly from Tri Vody it is only 12km in one direction with approx. 400m of elevation gain, so normal fitness should be enough to return in this case.
