To Demänovská Hora

If you want to see Liptov from the top, and if you do not feel like a too strenuous hike, Demänovská Hora with an altitude of 1.299 m above sea level is worth considering. The hike is suitable for all levels of hikers, including physically fit children, and offers unforgettable panoramic views of the entire surroundings, relaxation in nature and the opportunity to discover the rich fauna and flora of Liptov.

How to hike?

You can reach it directly from the Tri Vody resort in about 1.5 hours at a normal tourist pace. The route along the yellow trail is only 3.5 km long, during which you will climb 600 vertical metres. But you don’t have to worry about the altitude – the pleasant trail leads through the forest in the shade of the trees. The trail is marked and well signposted, which makes for a safe and comfortable ascent. The way back can be done in less than an hour.

• Don’t forget to wear appropriate footwear and clothing when going out.
• Take plenty of water and a small snack
• If the weather is favourable, it is also possible for more experienced climbers to climb in winter.
